Below here's one of the HP EliteBook 8730w Laptop/Notebook Photo:

HP EliteBook 8730w Laptop/Notebook Photo

Here are the HP EliteBook 8730w Laptop/Notebook Technical Specification configuration:
* Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9300 Processor (2.53GHz, 12MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB)
* Microsoft Windows XP (downgrade from Windows Vista Business)
* 17.0-inch WUXGA+ anti-glare DreamColor display (1920 x 1200)
* 1GB NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700M Workstation GPU
* 4GB DDR2 800MHz RAM (2 x 2GB Configuration)
* 250GB 7200RPM HDD
* Blu-ray burner and DVD+/-RW Optical Drive
* 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Modem, and Bluetooth Connectivity
* 8-Cell 73WHr Battery
* 3-Year on-site Warranty
* Dimensions: 1.3" x 15.5" x 11.1"
* Weight: 7.5lbs
* MSRP: $4,958 ($4,065.56 at time of writing with 18% instant discount)

Here are the HP EliteBook 8730w Laptop/Notebook Conclusion:
The 8730w starts out at $1,699 but more powerful configurations top out at $4,879.00 after instant discount. The HP EliteBook 8730w is probably the most balanced workstation-class 17" notebooks we've seen. This notebook is designed more for desktop replacement than it is for mobility, but the 8730w is thinner and lighter than other 17-inch workstations. That said, HP didn't sacrifice durability when making this machine thinner and lighter. In terms of overall value, the EliteBook 8730w strikes an excellent balance between price and performance. If you just need a basic configuration for your office then the starting price of $1,699 is pretty impressive ... particularly since a ThinkPad W700 costs several hundred dollars more and is bigger and heavier to boot. Of course, for those professionals who need to absolute best performance, the 8730w is available in configurations costing more than $4,000 so there's something for almost every budget. Bottom line, if you're looking for a 17-inch mobile workstation notebook the HP EliteBook 8730w probably belongs at the top of your list.

Here are the HP EliteBook 8730w Laptop/Notebook Pros:
* Extreme processor and graphics performance
* DreamColor display is bright with vivid colors
* Reasonably thin and light for a 17-inch workstation
* Attractive and sleek design

Here are the HP EliteBook 8730w Laptop/Notebook Cons:
* DreamColor display is pricey, but still reasonable
* Third touchpad button sometimes gets in the way
* Less than ideal location for speakers
* Fan can run loud and push out a lot of hot air
      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-11633745627904437852011-02-24T15:40:00.000-08:002011-02-24T15:41:48.618-08:00Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo
Here's our post about Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo. Indeed, with so many netbooks using the same processor, integrated graphics, and standard 10-inch display, there isn't much on paper to make this netbook stand out in a crowd. Still, what the 1008HA lacks in performance, it makes up for in finishing touches. The thin and light design, extreme battery life, and nearly full size keyboard make the Seashell Eee PC a very attractive travel laptop. If you can overlook the integrated battery and weak performance of the proprietary VGA connection the 1008HA is every bit as good or perhaps even better than the competition.

Below here are the Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell Laptop/Notebook Pros:
* Thin and light
* Excellent battery life
* Cool built-in VGA adapter

And below here are the Asus Eee PC 1008HA Seashell Laptop/Notebook Cons:
* Integrated battery
* Weak VGA output performance
* Bad touchpad buttonsrianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-69705280345468501322011-02-24T15:39:00.000-08:002011-02-24T15:40:47.277-08:00Sony VAIO CS Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Sony VAIO CS Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. The pulsing light bar adds a bit of flare to this notebook, with the closest alternative being LED’s on some large gaming rigs. Build quality could be better, with a lot of flex in the upper half of the notebook. The plastic creaks when you are opening and closing the lid ... not really the sound you want coming from your notebook. Sony also limited the amount of ports on the notebook, not even including eSATA or HDMI. With an optional Blu-ray drive it is inexcusable not to offer an HDMI to hook it up to a stereo and HDTV. Overall I think if you like the design and the pulsing lights this notebook is worth checking out in retail stores like Best Buy, but still look at other VAIOs above and below the size of the CS.

Here's the Sony VAIO CS Laptop/Notebook Pros:
* Good paint quality
* Solid keyboard and chassis
* Cool pulsing light bar
* Decent battery life

Here's the Sony VAIO CS Laptop/Notebook Cons:
* None of the plastic used feels durable
* No HDMI or eSATA
      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-69908190965284591612011-02-24T15:37:00.000-08:002011-02-24T15:38:54.906-08:00ASUS N90SV-A2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'ASUS N90SV-A2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. It has great design with very good build quality, something that is becoming a common trend with ASUS notebooks these days. Feature selection is good, with the onboard Blu-ray player with this model, but the missing eSATA is a downside. While the price is high compared to similarly configured 17" notebooks, most online retailers are selling the lower model for $1,399, which drops the second hard drive and Blu-ray reader. With the 18.4" display this notebook could easily take the place of a small TV in a dorm room, playing HD movies and games in full 1080P resolution.

Here's the Pros Conclusions of ASUS N90SV-A2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Excellent 18.4" 1080P screen
* Good gaming performance
* Responsive touchpad

And here's the Cons Conclusions of ASUS N90SV-A2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Missing eSATA
* Mediocre battery life
      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-71581071028409389642011-02-24T15:36:00.000-08:002011-02-24T15:37:29.962-08:00Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Apple 13-inch MacBook Pro Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. It gets excellent battery life while running OS X, it can game on integrated graphics, its screen looks excellent, and it has fantastic build quality. With that said its all-aluminum design causes heat to be quickly transmitting into your skin acting as a huge heatsink, driver support inside Windows isn't the best, and the sharp edges of the palmrest can be painful to lean your wrists across. For its intended market most people won't care about the Window's driver problems and the substantial increase in battery life from the previous model is worth the internal battery. The overall price/performance ratio makes the Y450 a compelling notebook if you're looking for something with a 14-inch screen. The nice design, great sounding speakers and multi-touch touchpad should likewise give you a few reasons to consider this laptop.

That said, the Y450 has some strong competition from notebooks like the new Dell Studio 14z and the popular HP Pavilion dv4t. If you're looking for an attractive notebook for school the Y450 makes a great choice, but if you need a high-end gaming notebook or the lightest possible weight, this isn't it.

Here's the ProsConclusion of Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Excellent build quality
* Good overall performance for the price
* Nice speakers

And here's the ConsConclusion of Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Gets pretty warm
* 1366x768 screen resolution isn't great
* Plastic lid isn't as impressive as other IdeaPadsrianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-91288352046048432432011-02-24T15:33:00.000-08:002011-02-24T15:35:06.618-08:00MSI X-Slim X340 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo
Here's our post about 'MSI X-Slim X340 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. The keyboard could use some extra bracing and the missing driver support for the touchpad kills many standard features we have come to expect from laptops these days. Basic support for scrolling or defined touch zones is gone, and you can't even adjust sensitivity. This could be corrected with the release of proper drivers, but as it stands the support site tells you to use native Windows drivers. Battery life with the stock 4-cell battery wasn't the best with only 32Wh of capacity, but we understand that the smaller battery is thinner and more visually appealing. Overall if you like the looks of the Apple MacBook Air but don't like the price, and you think the HP Pavilion dv2z is too thick, the MSI X-Slim X340 might be for you.

Here's the Pros Conclusion of MSI X-Slim X340 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Super thin and lightweight
* Nice display
* Comfortable keyboard

And here's the Cons Conclusion of MSI X-Slim X340 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* No driver support for touchpad (no scrolling)
* Keyboard flex
* Not as fast as MacBook Air or HP dv2zrianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-76419433584488385392011-02-24T15:30:00.000-08:002011-02-24T15:33:28.018-08:00Lenovo ThinkPad T400s Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Lenovo ThinkPad T400s Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. The keyboard change is significant, but for all intents and purposes they stuck with the tried-and-true design. The keys feel the same, the core layout is the same, the only thing that changed were the function and media keys. Even though the keys look weird at first it takes about 3 seconds to adapt to the new layout. I think the super slim and lightweight design is excellent, moving to a layout that is easier to service by the end-user. The inclusion of eSATA and DisplayPort is something that should have come sooner, considering that the T400 doesn't offer a digital video output without a docking station.

The only complaint I have is with the price, starting well above the standard T400, and the costly drive upgrade options since it is limited to 1.8" models instead of the cheaper and more widely available 2.5" size. If you are in the market for a new ThinkPad and don't mind spending a bit extra for something thin and lightweight, the T400s is a great choice.

Here's the Pros Conclusion of Lenovo ThinkPad T400s Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Excellent build quality
* Good keyboard changes
* Nice polished design
* eSATA and DisplayPort ... finally
* Very fast even with integrated graphics

And here's the Cons Conclusion of Lenovo ThinkPad T400s Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Limited battery options
* 1.8" storage drive
* Different docking connector
      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-5519181245672681812011-02-18T00:25:00.002-08:002011-02-18T00:26:40.847-08:00ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo
Here's our post about 'ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. The Eee PC 1005A is one of the best eveolutions of the Eee PC line so far. Yes, on paper there's not much to get excited about with the latest Eee PC since it features the same processor, integrated graphics, and standard 10-inch display seen in almost every netbook, but in this case the whole may indeed be greater than the sum of its parts. I'd still like to see a higher resolution screen, different graphics solution, and better touchpad buttons in this netbook, but overall there are plenty of reasons to like the latest Eee PC. If you're in the market for a $400 netbook then this is worth your consideration.

Here's the Pros Conclusion of ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Nice build quality
* Excellent battery life
* Good port layout ... for a netbook

And here's the Cons Conclusion of ASUS Eee PC 1005HA Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Thick for a modern netbook
* Still uses weak integrated graphics
* Bad touchpad buttonsrianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-45327014796989148572011-02-18T00:25:00.001-08:002011-02-18T00:25:54.043-08:00Fujitsu M2010 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Fujitsu M2010 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. It is based off of the Latitude E6400, with a ruggedized chassis wrapped around it. While it is definitely more rugged than the standard E6400 or E6400 ATG, it may not be as durable as other fully rugged notebooks. Dell chose to use plastic cladding for most of the external panels while other manufacturers use stronger metal panels. The main area of concern with this approach is the cooling fan grill, which showed significant flex, and may be an area that could get damaged in a tumble. The performance of the E6400 XFR is well above other rugged notebooks, but this comes at the cost of battery life. This notebook saw just under 4 hours of battery life, where the Getac B300 with a slower and more efficient processor got almost 9 hours. Overall if you need something that is as powerful as a mobile workstation--but with a fully rugged chassis--the Dell E6400 XFR is a good notebook to consider.

Here are the Pros conclusion of Dell Latitude E6400 XFR Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Very fast compared to other rugged notebooks
* Very bright sunlight viewable display
* Optional 12-cell "slice" battery pack

And here are the Cons conclusion of Dell Latitude E6400 XFR Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Heavy use of plastic
* High pricetagrianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-21363222816372238712011-02-17T22:33:00.000-08:002011-02-17T23:19:09.215-08:00Acer Aspire One D250 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Acer Aspire One D250 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. Acer used a small keyboard, small touchpad, and worst of all a small battery on what is otherwise a fantastic netbook. Considering how crowded the netbook market has become over the last year I really expected Acer to deliver more with their 10-inch netbook. Yes, it costs less than $300, but that price looks less impressive when other netbooks have better keyboards, better touchpads, and MUCH better battery life for less than $400. As I've said before with netbooks, I'd like to see a higher resolution screen and better graphics solution, but when it comes to the Aspire One D250 I'd settle for a better keyboard, touchpad, and battery. Still, if you're looking for a low-cost laptop to take with you to the coffee shop then the Acer Aspire One D250-1165 might prove to be a very good choice.

Here are the Pros of Acer Aspire One D250 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Low Price
* Nice build quality
* Easy access for upgrades

And here are the Cons of Acer Aspire One D250 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Poor battery life
* Small keyboard
* Still uses weak integrated graphics
* Bad touchpad buttons
      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-19732585183306202752011-02-16T15:17:00.000-08:002011-02-16T15:18:33.097-08:00HP ProBook 4710s Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo
Here's our post about 'HP ProBook 4710s Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. Still, things like the plastic construction, uncomfortable touchpad design, difficulty of upgrades, and poor cooling might give potential buyers reasons to look at alternatives such as the Dell Vostro 1720 or Toshiba Satellite L550. Bottom line, the HP ProBook 4710s, like the rest of the ProBook line, is a good notebook for its intended market. However, HP has some room for improvement if they want to turn this laptop into a deal that's too good to pass up.

Here are the Pros of HP ProBook 4710s Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* A great price for a 17" business notebook
* Nice keyboard
* Attractive, conservative design

And here are the Cons of HP ProBook 4710s Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Sub-par build quality
* Bad touchpad buttons
* Too difficult to upgrade
* Poor thermal design (gets hot)rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-38095376102959271292011-02-16T15:16:00.000-08:002011-02-16T15:17:31.790-08:00Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. The design looks much cleaner than before, and with the black color scheme, at least, the netbook is visually excellent. Battery life was improved, no doubt due to the large extended battery that sticks out behind and below, giving us over 7 hours in out battery test. The S10-2 handled 480p and 720p video without too many problems, but 1080p video was too much to ask for from the Intel Atom N270 and GMA950 chipset. Overall, the IdeaPad's price is very attractive, with a $439 MSRP - lower than previous models, and sale prices put it as low as $349. Our only big complaint is the rather cramped keyboard, but if you don't mind typing on the smaller keys the keyboard feels very well built and easy to type on.

Here are the Pros of Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Good looks and excellent build quality
* Great battery life
* Good performance
* Easy to upgrade

And here are the Cons of Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Keyboard feels cramped
* Extended battery doubles the thickness in the rear
      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-49569806103436535102011-02-16T15:13:00.001-08:002011-02-16T15:13:37.586-08:00Asus Eee PC T91 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Asus Eee PC T91 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. That's because this release of the T91 doesn't include any of those features. That said, knowing ASUS' track record with Eee PC releases, I wouldn't be surprised if ASUS Releases another version of the Eee PC Touch that has additional features at a later date.

Here are the Conclusion of Asus Eee PC T91 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
The new ASUS Eee PC T91 deserves serious praise for being the first budget-priced tablet netbook on the market. The closest direct competition to the T91 is the Fujitsu U820, but with the Fujitsu retailing for more than $1,000 the Eee PC T91 essentially stands alone in the marketplace at half the price. The hardware specs might not seem too impressive at first glance, but if you're in the market for a low-cost tablet this is indeed your only real option priced below $700 without rebates or coupons. What really makes the Eee PC T91 so compelling is the new Touch Gate interface that ASUS developed exclusively for the Eee PC Touch series of netbooks. Sure, it might just be an attractive, touch-friendly skin over Windows XP, but it's also one of the most consumer-friendly touchscreen interfaces I've seen on a tablet PC and it's a great way to show new owners what makes a touchscreen computer so unique. Is the Eee PC T91 a better choice than lower-priced netbooks with bigger screens and better specs? Possibly. Is it a good tablet to buy if you just want a cheap secondary computer to carry with you for taking notes, staying connected, or sharing video, photos, and music? Absolutely.

Here are the Pros of Asus Eee PC T91 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Low-priced tablet
* Nice build quality
* Good battery life
* Slick touchscreen interface

And here are the Cons of Asus Eee PC T91 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Small screen
* Integrated battery
* Weak stylus/pen
      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-88467250274236305502011-02-16T15:12:00.001-08:002011-02-16T15:12:49.250-08:00Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. For between $400 and $600 you get a very rugged laptop that is easy to use and portable enough for kids to toss in a backpack. Extra features like the dual security lock slots, network activity light, personalized window over the battery, and optional mobile computing station will certainly prove very attractive to educators and parents. The hardware specs might not seem too impressive compared to the kind of desktop or 15-inch notebook you can buy for $400, but if you're in the market for a low-cost portable laptop for young students then the Latitude 2100 makes perfect sense. Although Dell clearly had schools in mind when they designed the Latitude 2100, this netbook might honestly offer a little something for everybody. Individual consumers or businesses looking for a durable business-class netbook will likely be attracted to the Latitude 2100 for everything from outdoor activities to on-location training and customer service. Bottom line, despite the bulk and weight this is indeed one impressive netbook.

Here are the Pros of Dell Latitude 2100 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Super rugged netbook
* Easy quick access controls
* Good battery life

And here are the Cons of Dell Latitude 2100 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
* Thick and heavy
* No high-resolution screen option
* Touchscreen without tablet convertibility
      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-6130412680856075352011-02-16T15:09:00.002-08:002011-02-16T15:11:02.631-08:00Lenovo IdeaPad S12 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

Here's our post about 'Lenovo IdeaPad S12 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. With a slim and boxy chassis it might not look as cool as some consumer tablets, but it ends up being easier to carry and smaller to travel with. With a starting price of $1,929 it is easily one of the more expensive tablets on the market, but it does include some not-so-common features. Is the Dell Latitude XT2 worth the high price tag?

Here are the Conclusion of Dell Latitude XT2 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:
The Dell Latitude XT2 packs some of the latest touch technologies in an extremely well built and good looking chassis. Build quality is above and beyond even similar Latitude series notebooks, with a very rugged chassis. The keyboard is comfortable to type on and feels almost better than the legendary ThinkPad keyboard. System performance would get a significant boost with a faster drive since the 1.8" model gets an average transfer speed of 28MB/s while most SSDs of the same size would be above 100MB/s. Overall, if you are looking for a very portable tablet designed to hold up to the rigors of daily business use, the Dell Latitude XT2 is a clear winner. The battery life of the NB205 is among the best in class and should get you through a full day at school or the office. At a price of just $400 this might be a popular netbook for the back-to-school season. Still, despite these nice features, it's hard to overlook the flex and sound of weak plastics, the extremely flexible keyboard, and the weak speakers. Most netbooks have surprisingly firm keyboards, so we're more than a little disappointed that the keyboard on the NB205 practically "bounces" while you type on it. Most netbooks don't have particularly great speakers, but listening to music or online videos wasn't fun on the NB205. If you're looking for a good netbook for $400 or less the Toshiba mini NB205 deserves a close look, but there are many alternatives to consider in this price range.

Here are the Pros of Toshiba mini NB205 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:

* Easy access for upgrades

* Large touchpad

* Good battery life

And here are the Cons of Toshiba mini NB205 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:

* Weak plastic construction

* Severe keyboard flex

* Unimpressive speakers

      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-7537170745928764762011-02-16T15:07:00.001-08:002011-02-16T15:07:58.799-08:00Toshiba Satellite U505 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

The following Laptop/Notebook post is about 'Toshiba Satellite U505 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. Toshiba clearly listened to some of the criticisms about last year's U405 and made some improvements on this year's model. Unfortunately, Toshiba might have shot themselves in the foot when it comes to the price of their higher-end configurations. I have a hard time believing that most students would be interesting in buying this Toshiba for the full retail price of more than $1,000 when that same student could buy a brand new 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro for roughly the same price. The entry-level configurations of the U500/U505 start at less than $700, so those might indeed be affordable options for this year's back-to-school season.

Here are the Pros of Toshiba Satellite U505 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:

* Solid performance

* Nice backlit keyboard

* Good speakers for its size

And here are the Cons of Toshiba Satellite U505 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:

* Thick and heavy compared to newest 13-inch notebooks

* Small touchpad

* Expensive as configured

      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-72830878343007464922011-02-16T15:06:00.001-08:002011-02-16T15:06:59.364-08:00Samsung N110 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

The following Laptop/Notebook post is about 'Samsung N110 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. The keyboard felt cramped compared some other netbooks and the screen felt washed out in some aspects. On the other hand the build quality was excellent, the design was great, and the battery life was phenomenal. The price is somewhat high when you look at some of the larger 11.6" and 12" netbooks on the market, but it does lead the way in battery life. If unplugged performance is the most important thing you are looking for the Samsung N110 easily has you covered.

Here are the Pros of Samsung N110 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:

* Classy looks with high-gloss black paint

* 9 hours and 44 minutes of battery life

* Nearly flush mount battery

And here are the Cons of Samsung N110 Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:

* Keyboard could be more spacious

* No easy access to hard drive

      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3653305436507389143.post-34565362753891670982011-02-16T15:05:00.001-08:002011-02-16T15:05:57.536-08:00Dell Studio 14z Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo

The following Laptop/Notebook post is about 'Dell Studio 14z Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo'. If your child or your family is looking for a convenient laptop for general use then the Studio 14z can handle just about anything you throw at it. The overall price/performance ratio makes the Studio 14z one of the more impressive notebooks on the market if you're looking for something with a 14-inch screen. The nice design, great sounding speakers and a gorgeous screen make the Studio 14z a touch act to follow. That said, the Studio 14z has some strong competition from notebooks like the Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 and the popular HP Pavilion dv4t. The fact that the Studio 14z lacks an optical drive, SD card slot, and standard VGA port means that some potential buyers will need to look elsewhere. Likewise, the keyboard flex was more than a little disappointing. Still, if you want an alternative to the MacBook Pro that is both attractive and reasonably powerful then the Studio 14z makes a solid choice.

Here are the Pros of Dell Studio 14z Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:

* Attractive design

* Good overall performance for the price

* Great screen and speakers

And here are the Cons of Dell Studio 14z Laptop/Notebook Review, Technical Specification, and Photo:

* No optical drive

* No standard VGA port

* No standard SD card slot

      rianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417296948081061081noreply@blogger.com0
